Vitamix Secrets! – Something Sarah Loves
I took 1 cup of bone broth (chicken stock), 2 cups of mild greens, 5 green onions, 2 raw organic carrots, a teaspoon of homemade taco seasoning, and blended on medium until combined. Then I taste for seasoning, and add some Redmond Real Salt, extra taco seasoning, etc. if needed. I then blend on high for about 2 minutes until the blender is warm to the touch. I pour over already cooked chicken, or pork, or steak and my family eats it with rice. You could certainly pour over meat and veggies, if you are doing the low carb thing (which I always try to default to). I make a version of this nearly every week, and my family is eating a ton of veggies and they don’t even know. Brilliant.
Side note: If I just make this for me, I just chunk in some protein and eat it as soup. Me and soup are BFF’s, so I could eat this every day.
When my family asks me what we are having for dinner, and this is on the menu.. I simply call it Chicken Chile Verde. I’m positive it isn’t authentic, but it sure is delicious. 🙂
